This month we had 34 entries, split into 5 heats. We tried to keep the beginners and the not-so-experienced drivers in a class of their own. We are very much aware of the fact that the beginners easily feel intimidated by the fast guys. And we also respect the faster guys’ right to drive/race without the hindrance of a beginner that may get in the way and frustrate them.

The week prior to this month’s nitro on road club race we were told to expect a couple of visitors from the former Atlas Raceway club (AMR). When we were about to start and they haven’t showed up yet, we were sure that they backed out. Fortunately we were informed that they were on their way, although a little late, due to load shedding and also an accident on the highway that caused their delay.

Can you believe it; no sweeping of water from the track this month! It was actually a very nice day at the track. When the squatting list was printed, we had a total of 54 entries, divided into 2 TTO1 stock classes, 2 Electric Mini classes, one 540 touring class, two 21.5 touring classes and one biggish 17.5 touring class.
