The day before the race, we had terrible weather, but came Sunday morning, we were pleasantly surprised - and spoilt - with excellent weather.

We were happy with the turnout of 32 entries, but we were saddened by the absence of a couple of our regulars that were missing in action. Andre Steenekamp, Anzea, the Van Straaten brothers, Derek Sardini, to mention a few. Hope to have you back next month..?

The weather treated us very gentle this race meeting. In comparison with the previous week’s miserable weather, we almost had a summer’s day. Thank heavens, because I wouldn’t be able to endure another Sunday like that!

A bitterly cold day at the track. This time I cannot even tell you that as the day progressed, it became warmer. The first time we’ve seen a bit of sunshine was at about 13h30 in the afternoon. Please note; it was sun rays and by no means WARM sun rays… It had been a terrible day outdoors..!! Notwithstanding the unpleasant weather, we’ve had 29 entries. Thank you guys & girls; you were very, very brave! We admire and appreciate your efforts deeply.
