Beginner class:

Anzea Pretorius started with very good laps in the qualies and looked like a sure winner. She even continued doing fast laps in the 1^st leg of the Finals. But something went terribly wrong in the 2^nd leg of the finals and Nathan Steyn caught up with her and even beat her to the finishing line.

Only a handful of drivers to compete; quite disturbing, seeing that the weather was fine and there were no major races taking place at other tracks in our vicinity. It seems that the drivers are getting blasé (apathetic to pleasure or excitement as a result of excessive indulgence or enjoyment) and they are no more concerned about their ranking and/or scoring of club points.

Anyway, those who were here were here with heart and soul and enjoyed the day.

A long weekend (public holidays), dreadful financial conditions, family responsibilities, work…all of these contributed to a poorly attended nitro on road race this month. Throw a couple of apron strings (I don’t know what voorskoot bande are called in English, maybe umbilical cord?) in the works, and you get an even worse scenario. But hey, the seven 8^th scale GT drivers and the seven 10^th scale drivers had a good day at the track, all the same!
