We woke up to a beautiful day, but a track that was damp at a few places, because of the previous day’s rain.  The drivers started pulling in at a slow pace, and it was clear that this was going to be a rather small club race once again.

It was once again a pleasant day at the track in all facets. The weather was excellent and the turnout - especially for the 8^th scale GT class – was very good. After many years, the 8^th scale nitro cars are still very popular amongst nitro fans at our track. I like to refer to these cars as the “Beautiful Noise Class”   What an absolute joy?!

The day started with a wet track, after the previous day - and early evening’s rain. But fortunately, it wasn’t to such an extent that a few bags of sawdust couldn’t fix it. We started a bit later than usual, but even that was a blessing in disguise, because there were a few late comers. (Which we must REALLY discuss… it is becoming a vicious circle; We start late, because the drivers arrive late. ..and drivers arrive late, because we’ve started late the previous month)
